06 Tete Day 3-9

Little Zebra Books Sunday School classes bring the Gospel to children using entertaining illustrations and Scripture in their own language. During a Sunday School program, children listen to God’s Word, apply it to their lives and memorize a key verse. Each child receives a book to take home with them to remind them of the lesson.

$5,000 – Produce 25,000 books for a new language

06-Tete day 1 round 2-1
Each year, Little Zebra Books starts a small number of new language projects. A language project receives 25,000 new books in their language. In most cases, this is the single largest printing of books to ever take place in that language. Local partners take these books and distribute them to children who speak that language. It’s an amazing opportunity to tackle the problem of illiteracy in the most practical way possible by creating a surplus of beautiful high-quality books.

Current languages in need of funding are:

  • Chisena: A language of central Mozambique spoken by more than 1 million people.
  • Chinyanja: A language of northern Mozambique spoken by more than 2 million people.
