This project features amazing artwork by Australian artist, Max Okoto. For this book, we provided Max with English translations of 16 animal proverbs of the Nyungwe people, and these are the result.

Because the proverbs are so specific to the Nyungwe culture, this book has not been translated into other languages. However, the illustrations could be used to illustrate proverbs from other cultures featuring these animals.
